Satellite Is An Ever Improving Company As Seen In 2004
|
Information provided by Satellite Industries, a manufacturer of portable restrooms (toilets), handwash (sink),
deodorant cleaners (chemical), accessible, handicap ADA, accessories, vacuum tank equipment and related
supplies.
By the time 2004 ended, Satellite actively participated in many of the improvements made in the portable sanitation
industry. Beginning with product advancements in hand washing and adding aluminum trucks, 2004 marked a very
significant year for the industry leader in portable restrooms.
Beginning at the Pumper Show last February, Satellite unveiled two new handwash stations in response to the
growing topic of cleaner water in hand wash stations. These include the redesigned Wave and all new Breeze.
Both wash stations are designed with sealed water tanks, which allow operators to use chlorine pellets to kill
harmful bacteria that can appear in handwash stations.
Actually, Satellite went beyond simply designing safer handwash stations. The company also created a workable
system for operators to use in maintaining safe water conditions at the shop and out in the field with the
introduction of chlorine pellets and methods for sanitizing equipment. These are important first steps for the
industry to take as it relates to providing safer water in handwash stations.
As part of Satellite’s continued growth, they added the 1350 and 2000 gallon aluminum service trucks to their line.
The 2000 gallon aluminum is the largest of Satellite’s fleet, which begins with a 400 gallon module for use in the
back of a pick-up truck. While no other portable restroom distributor offers service trucks, Satellite has been selling
them since the early 70's. This is one reason why Satellite is the only full-service company for portable restroom
operators.
For 2004 Satellite continued to improve their deodorizer line. Newer formulas were introduced as technology
improved. Active ingredients are now time-released so that during a seven day period, odor fighting agents are
released at different intervals to prolong their effectiveness. New ways to use fragrances in the cabana were also
introduced in the form of Air Fresher Disks. Notable as well is Satellites unique R.O.I. Program. Based on a point
system, operators earn free portable restrooms as a deodorizer customer. Organizationally, Satellite made
changes by adding Phil LaRoche in the Great Lakes region and Gene Clay in the South Central region to its list of
seven Area Managers. Internally, Satellite maintains a staff of five Customer Service Representatives. With seven
Area Managers and five
Customer Service Representatives, Satellite operates the largest support staff in the industry and is known for high
customer satisfaction.
As 2005 begins, Satellite will be releasing a new and improved Maxim 3000 portable restroom at the Pumper Show
in February. A true event quality restroom, the Maxim 3000 will have significantly
improved handling. The Tufway, while still the best selling portable restroom of all
time, will have important new options also to be introduced at the Pumper Show.
Liberty and Freedom 2 wheelchair accessible restrooms will remain unchanged.
In Summary, Satellite continues to move forward as a leading company in the portable
sanitation industry. Due to a pioneering spirit and intense desire to improve its
offering to clients, operators can expect to be continually supplied with products and
services that make business easier and more profitable in the future.
